Dr. Girmscheid and the rest of the Dental Haven team have a passion for caring for their community and finding ways to best serve others. Our mission is to provide gentle, high-quality care while cultivating a soothing patient experience. We want to shift the mindset of anxiety at the dentist to one of relaxation and peace. We specialize in treating patients with dental anxiety, so we are more than happy to provide sedation options, comforting amenities, and an overall enjoyable experience.

Get To Know Dr. Megan Girmscheid

Dr. Megan Girmscheid grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. At the age of 15, Dr. Girmscheid decided to pursue a career in dentistry after she got her braces removed. Her beautiful new smile gave her a brand new confidence, and she knew that she wanted to provide that same feeling for others.

Dr. Girmscheid received her BS in Human Nutrition with a minor in vocal performance from the University of Kentucky, and later went on to receive her DMD from the University of Louisville.

In her free time, Dr. Girmscheid enjoys spending time exploring her city and making memories with her family. She also enjoys reading, researching, and her favorite activities since childhood — singing and playing instruments.

Feel at Home at Dental Haven

As you walk into our office, you’ll be greeted by the smiling faces of our friendly team and the modern amenities of our relaxing office.

After a consultation or cleaning by one of our hygienists, you’ll meet with Dr. Girmscheid and receive a comprehensive oral exam, complete with any necessary x-rays. We make sure to spend extra time to address your concerns and oral health goals. We'll also discuss the state of your dental health with you before outlining a unique treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Before leaving, we can also schedule any future visits and sign you up for our in-house membership plan. We are also happy to answer any insurance-related or financing questions to make your appointment as seamless as possible.
